San Diego skyline at sunrise

This shot is one of my favorite shots of the San Diego skyline. I have taken it a few times, so I know exactly when to shoot it, and with what lens etc. Many shooters try to take the shot in the evening. The secret to the San Diego skyline, is to start shooting pre-dawn, and keep shooting into the dawn. Sometimes you get great color in the clouds.

Rush Hour

This image was not terribly hard to create once I was in place on the bridge. The hard part was trying to find a place to park, and standing on the bridge feeling like I might be robbed at any moment. It only took a few frames to get the exposure right. Then I just had to time it so I would have streaks of light in every lane. Even though it was rush hour, I had to wait for all the lanes to be occupied. It is one of my all-time favorite Los Angeles shots.
