The High Line in Manhattan was one of my favorite things we found to do while we were in New York. Having been to NYC several times, I have already seen most of the major tourist-type destinations. It was a pleasant, short walk, through old neighborhoods and newly refurbished buildings.

I was right outside the famous Loeb Boathouse Central Park, getting ready to rent a boat. There were a lot of bikes zooming past me. One after another. I decided to slow my shutter speed down, and try a bit of panning. I took several shots, and I liked this one the best.

Light always captures my eye. This shot really isn’t that special, but the woman walking into the light caught my eye. I took the shot, and her figure, in contrast to the light, tells a story. A story of going somewhere.
