Under the Stars

I was shooting the parade for a local pageant group that was in the parade. I saw the young marines roll out the flag, and my first reaction was to get a shot from under the flag. I had seen it done years ago in the newspaper, and the image stuck in my head. I took the same shot from both sides, and I like this one the best. Happy birthday America.

The Best Pizza

I was in Manhattan last week, and I could not resist a few trips around the block looking for unique black and white opportunities. I spotted the old woman, and stood right in front of her, and took the shot from waist level (the 5DM3 doesn’t have an articulating LCD), and hoped I framed it right. The shot came out great.

I did eat a piece of the dollar pizza, and it was awesome.
