Torrey Pines Gliderport

Torrey Pines Gliderport is one of those places that I never get tired of shooting. I can stand and watch the gliders for hours. They look so peaceful and relaxed. The only scary part is walking off a perfectly good cliff into thin air.

Falling With Style

Torrey Pines Gliderport is one of my favorite places to shoot. It is both challenging (to photograph) and beautiful. The title for this photo came pretty easily – after all they are not really flying, they are falling. It amazes me that normal humans would walk off the edge of a cliff hundreds of feet in the air with the assumption that a strong lifting wind will support them.
